Zephyr, a Poem.walking on the cold concrete

a complicated urban landscape, laced with crowded streets

people stopping here and there, people rushing everywhere

most of them unaware of the things for which they should care

coming and going, as if each echo was a light slowly dying out

trees, flowers, canopies, scuttering things, fluttering wings never thought about

if only winds would come to take this world by storm

if kamikaze gusts were considered as the norm

to come and wipe away, like an etch-a-sketch's sand

the buildings, towers, subway trains, and stores of every brand

instead of cold unfeeling man-made stone

i wish to be in the wild grass,

will o' the wisp progresswill o' the wisp [work in progress]

odd little lights, will o' the wisp, show in the night
but my love, don't let them give you a fright
what is meant to startle is not as bright
as the feelings we feel for each other, each and every day and night

a little brush of your skin against mine
all of our thoughts will settle down in time
but like a snow globe also settles, we will not loose the original spark
happiness betwixt us two has made its undeniable mark

as the sun creeps over the grassy hill, my eyes opening, the world is still
until the wind starts to blow, until we kiss in the morning glow
....

SpiderWarA spiders web wound carefully
A never ceasing thread
Each strand spiraling down
In rain, a cacophony renown

Spiders don't stop spinning
Even when their work has been cast away
Each web like a funeral shroud
It's destruction disavowed

So carefully their tiny feet
Run tight knit over the
Cold wet streets
That they have sewn

So too am I a spider, in a different sort of way
An inner war reflects off of my own translucent strands
Each facet of my personality solidifying opaque
Only to fall away again in my turmoil

A lesson to be learned from those persistent spiders
Ignoring fang and poison for long enough to sort out
Never forge

Unabridged Nostalgia, mark ii

I had hair brown, skin as white as snow
Still filled with more than enough of a youthful glow
I was a young man, barely 13, in a time where children were ignored
A boy not concerned with time, reason, rhyme, or reward

Life seems opaque, after many glances
We come to take, more than chances
Life seems to be, less than easy
Time and time again, it's like running against the grain

I ran across the back cobblestone streets,
by the unpopular old little cafe we used to meet,
I've seen and saw you eying me,
I'd simply asked you if you'd want to hold hands, and our lives spiraled out of control
More than they'd ever been before, I'd m

Strange Little PeopleThe Strange Little People that lived in a shoe
Unrelated to the Old Little Woman you knew
They live in in something more stylish, not far down the road
A high top of sorts is their honest abode
Some would say it is odd, and with them I won't argue
But they only think this because they never have lived in a shoe
Some things by society are misconstrued
But I urge you to accept that this happens more than it should

The Strange Little People, who live in a shoe
Will dance and sing, out the wazoo
They will play their silly rhythms, again and again, busting them out on all but a a kazoo
Their music is lovely, all the folks say
But e

off switch . if only reality had an off switch .

spiraling in flight through the myriad of stars ,

in a deep navy & purple sky ,

aurora after unreal aurora ,

colors jumping like my heart does

when you embrace me tight .

Although this is Cheesy
Saying this isn't always so Easy
I am unduly infatuated with you
I hope not to have to bid you Adieu
For reasons I cannot explain
Love isn't always Inane
The way I feel when I am around you
Knowing that in the end I will be Blue
When you find some other new shiny new man
Because when offered to take my hand
You look away, well isn't this grand
The way I feel about you can't be defined in brand
Can't be expressed through a silly rose or valentine
The only way it can be said, is that around you my heart expands
The world is beautiful when I look into your eyes
Do not be ashamed of me, because I understand you are not a prize
And I am never the winner
